An initial discussion took place on January 19, 2014, to discuss ways we can support the various needs of our parish. A number of initiatives/actions are already moving forward.

What is still needed:
People to volunteer and get involved.
Stewardship offering of time and talents.

If you have time to support any of these Caring ministries:
Friendly phone calling, Friendly visiting or Transportation (drive to church).

Circle of Care

This is a supportive pastoral caring ministry of "being there for the family caregiver and/or patient". Each Circle would help provide specific support for an individual parishioner's need.

It could include:

  • scheduled visits, providing caregiver respite and companioning or
  • perhaps your gift of support lies in a casserole ministry
  • some other kind of support such as respite from housekeeping

Prayer Shawl Ministry
St Mark's Prayer Shawl Ministry started in 2010, with the first blessed shawl being given in June. The shawls are lovingly made by parishioners, with prayer, for specific individuals or as gifts to those who need healing grace. Pocket Shawls are also available to carry in a pocket or purse.

Shawls are blessed the first Sunday of the month.
